Skandia Star

Complementing our title sponsorship of Skandia Team GBR, we also sponsor two of the team's sailors, Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson. Iain, an Olympic gold medallist from the Sydney games, has been competing in the Star since 2001, and in that time has been crowned World and European Champion. Iain and his crewmate Andrew now have their sights set on winning Gold in Beijing.

The Skandia Star campaign has been part of Skandia’s sponsorship programme since 2003. Widely regarded as one of the toughest classes to win at any level of competition, the Star is a 6.9 metre two-man keelboat and the oldest of the Olympic classes.

The pair's determination to succeed and their devotion at every level means the Skandia Star campaign fits perfectly with the Skandia sponsorship programme.
